Farewell, dear friend
It’s time to say goodbye
Breath of life, you finally sighed
The clock stopped, your time is up
You’re an angel now who will watch us from above
As you walk up the stairs, we’d be waving our hands
Someone’s waiting for you on the other end
Goodbye, dear friend, you now belong
To a happier place, your final home
In God’s own time, we’ll see you again
Waiting for us, at the gate of heaven.
A poem I wrote for a former classmate who died in a car accident.
